Context
Print opens an application's print workflow, which can differ from the browser's page-print dialog. Selection, page range, scale and orientation affect the output. Printing to PDF uses the print dialog's destination and is separate from a site's prepared downloadable reference.
Use the binding for your application and platform. Custom keymaps, keyboard layouts and intercepted system keys can change the behavior you observe.
Practical checks
- Check the print preview before sending paper to the printer.
- Select the intended range, orientation and scaling.
- Choose a prepared shortcut PDF when you want a compact reference rather than the webpage.
