This policy explains what KeyShortcuts.net and its service providers collect, why it is used, and the choices available to visitors. It is intended to describe the site's current operation; it is not a promise that every third-party service uses identical technology in every region.
You can browse shortcut guides without creating an account. We receive information you voluntarily submit, such as an email address for a download or newsletter, feedback or support messages, and purchase information needed to fulfil an order. Stripe processes payment-card details; KeyShortcuts.net does not store complete card numbers.
Our server may also receive technical request information such as IP address, browser and device type, requested page, referring page, and date and time. The site records page paths and referrers through its own page-view endpoint to understand which guides are useful and to maintain security.
To estimate human visitors separately from raw pageviews, our first-party measurement checks visible reading time or normal interaction and filters obvious automated browsers. The server creates a keyed, pseudonymous identifier from the request's network address and browser user-agent, rotating it each calendar month in New York time. These analytics records store the identifier, not the raw IP address or user-agent, and no visitor tracking cookie or persistent browser visitor identifier is created. Reading time and whether an interaction occurred are used to qualify a pageview; the contents of keystrokes and clicks are not collected. Shared networks, changed devices and sophisticated automation can affect estimates.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals exclude requests from human-visitor measurement. Private pages and the signed-in admin browser are also excluded. A functional local-storage preference keeps the administrator's browser excluded after sign-out. Counts begin with eligible new measurements; historical pageviews are not treated as identified people.
No student accounts or student personal information are required. Organization and adult purchaser or contact details are used for licensing and billing. No FERPA or COPPA compliance guarantee is made.
Free personal shortcut stacks, favorites, learned states and practice progress are stored in your browser. A shared snapshot link contains the selected title, apps and progress and can be read by anyone who receives it. Do not put confidential information in a shared title. A separate local pending-purchase copy lets you explicitly restore unsaved edits after canceling checkout.
When you buy a personalized PDF, we store the selected stack, its title and a snapshot of its shortcut content with the Stripe price and checkout reference to fulfill the purchase and support later downloads. Card details are processed by Stripe, not stored in our application database. Keep the receipt link private: possession grants access to its receipt and, after payment verification, its file. Full refunds and disputed payments may remove download access.
Team inquiry forms store your supplied name, company, contact email, team size and requirements for private administrator review and manual fulfillment. Contact consent is for that inquiry only, not a newsletter or subscription.
The site uses local storage for functional preferences such as light or dark theme. Google Analytics and Google AdSense may use cookies or similar storage when the applicable consent state permits it. Browser controls can also be used to clear or block stored data.
Google Consent Mode starts with analytics and advertising storage denied. Depending on your region and choices, Google tags may send limited cookieless measurements that do not read or write advertising or analytics cookies. Consent Mode communicates a consent state to Google; it does not replace a legally required consent notice.
For publisher traffic in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform must be configured in AdSense Privacy & messaging before Google ads are enabled. Consent Mode alone is not a substitute for that account-side requirement. Until that setup and AdSense approval are verified, the site keeps advertising storage denied by default and does not display ad units.
First-party aggregate funnel events measure Stack use, shop interest and team inquiry submissions without sending form contents, stack titles or card details to analytics. Verified purchase events contain product/SKU, amount, currency, product family and a query-free entry page where available. A session-storage value remembers only that entry path, not a visitor identifier. Receipt credentials and customer contact information are excluded.
First-party demand reporting also stores short, normalized search terms and result counts, selected app identifiers and Switcher platform pairs. Terms resembling email addresses, URLs, passwords or long numeric identifiers are excluded. Do not enter personal or confidential information into shortcut searches. Search terms and these demand dimensions are not sent to Google Analytics. We use aggregate reports to identify missing shortcuts and prioritize useful resources, not to identify individual searchers.
Where available, sanitized first-touch campaign labels and external referrer hostname accompany new checkout metadata and submitted Team or commercial API inquiries. Contact form contents are not included in aggregate analytics. These labels help compare traffic sources; they do not verify a visitor's identity or establish an individual conversion history.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic patterns, including visited pages, approximate location, device or browser characteristics, and interactions. Google processes this information under its own terms and privacy policy. Analytics storage is denied by default and is updated only through the applicable consent controls.
Google AdSense may display personalised, non-personalised, or limited ads according to region, consent, account configuration, and Google's policies. Google and participating advertising providers may process device, browser, IP-address, ad-interaction, and consent information for ad delivery, security, fraud prevention, frequency control, and measurement.
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, legal or accounting obligations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and service security. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to legally required suppression records.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; to withdraw consent; or to opt out of certain targeted advertising or data sharing. We do not exchange personal information for money. Some advertising activity may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising under particular state laws even without a monetary exchange.
To make a privacy request, contact support@keyshortcuts.net. We may need to verify the request and may retain information where required or permitted by law. You will not be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.
KeyShortcuts.net is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child submitted personal information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
We may update this policy as the site, providers, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest published revision.
