KeyShortcuts

What does Ctrl+L do?

On ChromeOS, Ctrl+L focuses the address bar. Use it when you want to focus address bar in that application; other apps may assign the same keys differently.

Recorded actions and binding evidence

Windows

ChromeOS

Also works in: Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Premiere Pro, ChromeOS, Ubuntu Linux, Windows, Cursor, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Word, Spotify.

Context

Address-bar focus versus editing commands. A browser may focus its address field, while an editor can select a line or perform another operation. Read the application and category attached to each exact match.

Use the binding for your application and platform. Custom keymaps, keyboard layouts and intercepted system keys can change the behavior you observe.
